Our Profibus offering integrates PROFIBUS-DP/PA slave devices into the I/A Series system through redundant PROFIBUS-DP Communication Interface Modules that provide an interface between your system & PROFIBUS-DP/PA slave devices, including motor drives, Remote I/O modules, & field I/O devices. This architecture provides a fast seamless switchover from the master role to the tracker role if communications from the master are lost.
Reduced Engineering Effort . The InFusion Field Device Editor combined with the InFusion Engineering Environment, enables quick creation, assignment, & deployment of Profibus-DP/PA devices. Our Profibus Device templates reduce engineering effort since multiple instances of the same device re-use configuration parameters inherited from the template. Improved quality is also realized through template based standards enforcement & re-useable designs. 
Increased Performance. Our Profibus I/O modules support up to 125 slave devices with full 244 byte data transfers and 500 DCI blocks per FBM222 module at a minimum slave interval of 120 msec.
